Contact Bay Superior Court at the designated time on the citation for a "hearing" by the Traffic Commissioner. The citation will have instructions on when to appear or how to mail in the fees for satisfying/clearing the citation.

You may contact the Records Division to request a hearing, or write an appeal letter, include your license plate, citation number, location, and date of citation to Paso Robles Police Department, 900 Park Street, Paso Robles, CA 93446, Attention: Parking Citation Hearing Officer. Please mail it no later than 21 days after you were cited. The Parking Citation Hearing Officer will advise you by mail of their decision and the next step in the process.

If you get a parking citation you have three options. You MUST do one of the following three within 21 days of receiving the citation: Contest the citation if you believe it was issued in error. Contest the citation if you believe it was issued in error. You can do this by filing an Initial Administrative Review ONLINE or at SC140 Campus Police or the Campus Police Office. This appeal process is in accordance with California Law.

If you want to contest your traffic citation simply appear in court on the date shown on the citation and you will have an opportunity to state your case before the judge, ask the officer questions, and present witnesses and evidence in your favor or request a jury trial.

A person who receives a traffic citation may contest it by going to the court he/she is cited to (listed on the citation) and posting bail (paying the amount of the citation). After the person has posted bail, the court clerk will assign a court date. On the specified date, the person will be able to plead his/her case before a judge and question the officer. If the judge rules in the person's favor, the bail they posted will be refunded.

If you are using a parking meter, make sure you put enough money in the meter to cover the time you will be using it. If you loan your vehicle to someone, make sure he or she knows where to park. You are responsible for all citations issued to your permit/vehicle. When the lot you usually park in is at capacity, do not park on the grass, at the end of an aisle or in an unauthorized zone. Rather, move your vehicle to an alternate lot where your permit is honored.

You may appeal your citation online or in writing. All first appeals are reviewed by one of Transportation Services Senior Managers. You will be mailed the appeal decision. If you file your appeal online you will be able to get a confirmation that it has been received, check the appeal status, and receive your decision via your email, as well as, by mail.

All persons receiving parking citations have the right to appeal their citation within 14 days of the issue date of the citation. All appeals are done online.

Answer: To contest a citation, you are required to visit a hearing officer within 45 days from the date your ticket is issued. Stop by the Parking Adjudication office, 1400 Lubbock , Mon. ? Fri., between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. Appointments aren't necessary, all hearings are held on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Police Department Records Division, located in the main lobby of the Police Department at 1 N. San Antonio Rd., is open 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays. You may go there to pay a parking fine, or to file paperwork to contest a citation. In order to contest a parking citation, you must pay the associated fine and then request a hearing date.

A person can contest a parking violation by coming into the police department and filling out a form requesting that the citation be reviewed. The supervisor in charge of parking enforcement will review the citation and your explanation. A recommendation will be forwarded to the Chief of Police. You will then be notified of the outcome of the citation review.

On the specified date, the person will be able to plead his/her case before a judge. ORC will then process the citation, and forward it to the Police Department for first level review. If the citation is upheld, the citizen can request to have a "hearing" be a referee at the ORC office.
