In general, the majority of our phantoms are made of Lucite ® (Polymethyl Methacrylate). This material is also known as Perspex ® and Plexiglass. Information concerning the atomic number, density and composition of Lucite ® can be found here on the web site of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). MMA has a density of 0.94 g/cm3. The systematic name is methyl 2-methyl-2-propenoate. Its molecular formula is H2C=C(CH3)COOCH3.

Phantom images and dose measurements will be required from every scanner being accredited. Using Computed Tomography Dose Index (CTDI) phantoms, a medical physicist must perform dose measurements on every scanner that you will be submitting for accreditation. Using these CTDI measurements, your physicist will be able to calculate various descriptors of dose for your adult head, pediatric abdomen (5 y.o.) and adult abdomen examinations.

First, read through your Users Manual that came with the phantom that you own. There are so many different phantoms that no single filling guide is going to cover the details you might want to know for every one of DSC's phantoms. The word fullness rather than density, more accurately describes the visual phenomenon in what we perceive as thick hair vs. thin hair. The concept of fullness is broader and more inclusive. There are many software packages that can do this type of analysis. The GCG software package contains the Composition tool, which will determine the composition of sequences along with dinucleotide and trinucleotide content for nucleotide sequences. The S288C strain that was sequenced for the systematic sequencing project has a nonsense mutation in TRP1; the sequence in SGD reflects this.

The deepest cores taken in the area indicate that the soil is composed of silty sands, clays, and gravels which extend down at least 20 m (70 ft). The official FIRST season begins in January, with the kick-off and the beginning of the six weeks in which teams can build their robot. During these six weeks, the robot must be completely built, after which teams are required to ship it to their first regional. In March, every week for five weeks, anywhere from five to seven regionals occur in various parts of the United States, Canada, and Israel. Teams are allowed to enter two out of the twenty-seven possible regionals.

The clinical images can be can be submitted on a CD. The instructions for submitting the clinical images on CD will be in the testing materials package the site gets when they apply for accreditation. In multi-detector-row CT (MDCT), the reconstructed slice thickness is not always the same as the Tomographic thickness of one data channel (T as defined in the ACR accreditation documents).

A phantom load is a hidden use of electricity which one might easily overlook in doing an energy audit. For example, a television with a remote control turn on capability will be drawing some power all the time, whether the TV is turned on or off. Another example is the common wall warts (step down transformers) used to power lower voltage devices such as answering machines. A few such devices drawing power 24-7 can quickly add up.

Phantom brands are brand names that get entered into our test, but aren't available for sale to growers. In most cases the brand names are legitimate, legal entities. They just aren't used for seed sold to growers. Because of this, we are doing are best to eliminate phantom brands from our test.
