Rims that have been anodized require special care. DO NOT USE SIMPLE GREEN® ON ANODIZED RIMS! Wash rims with a PH balanced soap (shampoo) and rise thoroughly.

Chemical products: Be very careful with these as some contain extremely harsh chemicals (Hydrogen Fluoride compounds) causing eventual discoloration or paint peeling from the plastic parts. A1: According to Wheelcraft, BMW uses an odd pattern/angle for the holes drilled in their rims. If you want just a rim, you may have to buy one from BMW. The ONLY one available is the one we have. But, you can change to a 3.50x17 or a 3.00x18. If you go with the 18" rim, you'll alter the handling characteristics some. Determining if your rim / wheel is steel or alloy ( i.e. aluminum) is crucial to getting the correct wheel covering. Wheelskins are custom made to fit steel wheels only. The only exception's are the couple of wheel skins that are especially made for an alloy wheel and these are very clearly marked in our catalog. I personally prefer rims that are the standard 11" because they usually have more ring than plunk. In earlier times the rims came in sizes that you wouldn't expect, running from less than 10 1/2'' to 12'' and more. Remember, that was the age of tom cat hides, flour pokes paper or whatever was available. All of our instruments are subjected to autoclave sterilization ? the same process that responsible hospitals and dental offices use. The autoclave is spore tested monthly to ensure it is in proper working order and these results are on display on the wall beside the front counter.
