Yes. The amplifier has an auxiliary line input. You can connect a CD or Cassette with a cable so that the sound comes through the AmpliVox speakers. You can even control the volume separately from the mic volume because the aux input has its own volume and tone controls.

To make a CD: You must have a CD writer in your computer. Most newer computers already have CD Writers installed. Simply start playing the sermon in Media Player then click “File” then “Copy” or “CDs and Devices” then “Copy or Burn audio CD.” Put a blank CD in the CD writer and follow instructions. You can usually put two or three sermons per CD.

Music may ONLY be on CD. If music is on a CD, it must be in the CDR (CD-Recordable) format. It cannot be in the CDRW (CD Re-writable) format. Duplicate CDs must be available in case of lost or broken tapes/CDs.

Some of our older compilations were never produced on CD; fitness facilities simply were not equipped with CD players, so it made no sense to produce them in that format. Since these items do not sell as much as our newer releases, the cost of reproducing them on CD at this time is prohibitive. Lately the trend has been moving more towards the use of CD, therefore we are now stocking more items in this format as new releases become available.

Yes. In the past we asked for each song to be on a separate CD or cassette but this year we will accept multiple entries on only one CD or cassette. Please make sure that you list the tracks very clearly and correctly on the CD or cassette to avoid any confusion.

For music, CD's are the way to go, since each song is on its own track, and you can instantly go to your favorite song. With teaching tapes on CD, the entire message is on one track. If you get interrupted and miss something, you have to go back to the beginning to hear that part again. With a cassette, you can simply rewind to where you want to start listening again, or stop the tape and start in the same spot when you return.

They are very reasonably priced now and widely available from shops in Sydney and everywhere else. Also enquire at the hotel stockists of Talking of Sydney Tours, shown on the website, as some do hire out personal CD players to their guests, such as the Observatory Hotel and the All Seasons Premier Menzies Hotel. Decide on which Talking of Sydney Tour you want to buy before purchasing a CD/Cassette player, as only 2 out of the 4 tours are produced on Cassette.

When you have fewer sprockets on your cassette, you can make finer adjustments to chainline of your favorite trials gear, and it's a very good thing to have completely straight chainline for your fav. trialsin gear. You can use spacers to move those few wheels left or right to make your chain straight. I hope I don't have to tell your why straight chainline is a good thing. ;-) (few hints: forbidden gears, more power, chain less bent lasts longer, cassette lasts longer etc.

Absolutely. As long as it can handle the spread on the cassette, you'll be fine. All reasonably modern derailleurs will handle this. The derailleur is a "dumb" component - it does what the shifter tells it to do.

The main difference is in the durability of the equipment. CD and cassette players, which have many moving parts (servo-motors, lasers, tape heads, etc.), were never designed for continuous 24 hour-a-day use, and therefore will wear out much faster than the digital units. The digital units, on the other hand, load the entire Messages on Hold program onto digital flash memory, which has no moving parts and no sound degradation play after play.
