WuWu Pro's default configuration is to establish a 192bit AES Symetric Session Key using a SHA1/HMAC and 4096 RSA Key Exchange.

Cryptainer LE runs as a special Windows device driver. It operates on a 128 bit implementation of the Blowfish algorithm in Cipher Block Chaining mode with a block size of 64 bytes. This ensures that data encrypted using Cryptainer LE is impermeable to all known forms of attack. Statistically, it would be impossible to successfully brute-force crack the Cryptainer LE encryption. Blowfish was designed by Bruce Schneier.

Cobar uses AES-128 bit encryption. By encrypting the data using a 'key' or passphrase known only to you, you have full control over the protection of the data - you don't need to trust anyone else. By default Cobar is set to compress your data before encrypting and transmitting it. This allows you to store more files in the space available. You can choose to disable or later re-enable this compression in Cobar's setting. Cobar Lite is distributed by Storage.com.

The UF VPN service uses Triple DES (Data Encryption Standard) with a key length of 168 bits. Triple DES is considered to be a very strong encryption algorithm, and is currently immune to key space search attacks (the most common kind of attack against strong encryption) because of its key length. It also uses a technique called Cypher Block Chaining (CBC) in which each plaintext block is XORed with the previous cypher text block before encryption.

The default public key algorithm and key size used in EaSecure is 2048-bit RSA. You can set the key size up to 4096-bit. As a comparison, the largest RSA key that has been cracked so far is only 663-bit, and it took the equivalent of over 50 years of 2.2 GHz Opteron CPU time (see link). A 2048-bit RSA key is still way out of the reach of any possible cracking effort. EaSecure uses 256-bit AES for symmetric key encryption.

The motion of a point on the ground during a small or distant earthquake can be so small that only specialized, precision instruments can record it. When the earthquake is larger (or closer), that motion will be larger. When the motion reaches the level where humans can feel it, typically a 1-2 %g, it is often called strong motion.
