If you’re only using AdrenaLinn’s effects and not the amp models, then we recommend you use the amp you like best because it’s really personal taste. Filter effects are similar to wah pedal effects, so if you like a certain amp with wah pedal, chances are you’ll like the same amp with AdrenaLinn’s filter effects.

A kit from any reputable dealer will likely make a fine instrument. Our members seem to prefer the kits from Stuart-MacDonald largely because they include both a full-size plan and an instructional video, and because with their kits you get the option of a bolt-on neck. We don't recommend trying to alter a kit that has pre-bent sides, nor to change a 14-fret neck to a 12-fret neck (or the other way around).

Although most guitarists know there are 3 octaves on a guitar, few know how to play on a 3 octave scale because they lack a systematic approach to moving continuously down the neck of the guitar. Not such a great idea, unless you use something besides your stereo speakers, and/or compress the signal. Plus, you may not like the sound of it, unless you use a guitar preamp. Stereo speakers are not made to handle the dynamics of raw music. Distortion may appear as square waves, which are close enough to DC to fry your speakers. There are several other issues which may also destroy your speakers. A stereo is intended to faithfully reproduce the recorded material.

No, as long as nothing is being damaged, whatever gets you your tone is okay. Be careful, though, with combo amps, as the speaker is more easily damaged by the low notes on a bass at high volumes. How do I add a tube to a Marshall? That steel seems too thick to do a lot of filing, and I can't get a reduced-shank 3/4" drill bit. This is why Greenlee makes chassis punches. Drill a pilot hole of 1/8" or so, then successively drill it out to 1/2".

Julian prefers acoustic guitars and plays a 1957 Gibson, a 12 string Taylor and a CJ 32 Yamaha. "Acoustics are much easier to lug around and obviously if you have an idea it's a lot easier, for me, I feel like there's a whole sound there rather than the electric sound, unless you're gonna carry another bunch of gear around to plug it all in. Even the walkmans and stuff, I like the sounds of acoustic and I'm mainly a rhythm player anyway.

They both have strings and they both have frets; there the similarity ends. A guitar is generally thought of as an instrument for playing harmonies and chords, while a sitar must be thought of as a melodic instrument like a flute or an oboe. If you attempt to play chords like a guitar, you will be missing the entire concept of the instrument. How easily you make this fundamental shift in the way you conceptualize the instrument will determine how easily you can pick up then sitar.
