Interior pieces like dash vents, dash trim, and others can be painted. you must take special care in prepping and cleaning the surfaces before painting. Go to a shop and see if they carry special interior paint. This paint is specifically designed to paint and adhere to interior plastic pieces. It's always best to remove the part you plan to paint from the car before painting.

I found them to be very porous and soaked up the spray paint.

We've taken numerous pictures of the interior, attempting to capture what amounts to being the greatest asset of this design [in terms of aesthetics as well as spaciousness and lighting], to no avail... which is why they aren't shown on the website. It is important to consider tolerances when designing the interior wall finishes and locations. For example, if inadequate space is left between the back of the precast panel and the inside face of the interior finish, connections may become exposed to view. During the manufacturing process of composite kayaks, the first step consists in applying gelcoat, which is done directly in the mould. If you apply gelcoat on your kayak to make it look better, its weight will increase by 7 pounds; furthermore, the result would be an "orange peel" finish. To obtain a glossy finish, it would be necessary to sand your kayak many times, which would be a very long and expensive process.

I generally don't repaint metal or refinish wood for a number of reasons. The main reason is that it's not original anymore. If it only has a few minor scratches or scuffs, it's better to leave it alone. Painting metal with a paint can or sprayer just doesn't cut it as the paint is going to come off. If I do paint something, it will be powder coated at a local factory and heated to 500 degrees. Same thing with wood. Most are simulated or veneers and if they have normal wear, I leave them alone.

gt; You need to find a person with a stationary wire wheel grinder, you will turn that grinder on, the wire wheel will whirl, and you will hold that rail to the wheel until the rust is gone. This will take upwards of 15 minutes to do a good job. When the rust is gone, the rail will be dark grey, nearly black. This can be done with a wire wheel attached to a drill motor, too, but the results are not as good, and it would take an hour to do it right.

Just like working clay, use some paste (or clay thinned with water - also called "slip") to attach clay to clay.
