Widening a crack and/or filling it with a special super-duper epoxy compound generally does not work. Smearing a crack with polymer cement won't fix a crack either. That crack is going to remain in the concrete, Period! The best thing is to very carefully fill a crack with a flexible product (depending on choice of stain). A crack can be tolerated if it's hidden and disguised in the pattern.

Engrave-A-Crete? bricks, tiles and cobblestones are guaranteed to never come loose. How could they? The pattern is cut INTO the concrete. The pattern will last as long as the concrete because it is the concrete.

The Engrave-A-Crete? process can be used walls, ceilings, and concrete steps including risers and treads.

It's a coordinated action where the operator is guiding and propelling the engraver and in turn the engraver and the tracking system are guiding the operator. The pattern is cut into the concrete with a unique diamond saw blade mounted in the engraving machine.

The clear sealers help to protect the concrete to make it last longer and withstand the weather better. The process uses moisture barrier but vapor permeable protective clear sealers. By keeping water, salt and deicers out of the concrete it is less likely to spall or delaminate. Machines have been operating successfully for many years in northern States and Canada.

Not really! It depends on the materials you chosen. Different materials have different results. Examples of engraving on the various materials that I feel supports being engraved are shown on the individual page for each material. If you have questions about the engraving quality of a particular material, please contact us before you order.

There are many suggestions we have listed on our "engraving" page. The most popular choice for weddings are the names of the bride and groom with the wedding date centered below. The bride's name traditionally goes first.

Laser engraving uses light to burn an image into the substrate. It gives your logo a clean and polished appearance. It is available on many metal items and works best when the item's surface is a different color than the substrate. Laser Oxidation is available when the surface and the substrate are the same color.

The engraving depth is controlled by the number of passes the laser beam makes over a part, we have engraved mould tools up to 5 mm in depth with a very fine spot 0.02 of a mm. This allows for a very high quality engraving but it takes a long time and so the cost can be relatively high (for laser engraving) but still cheap compared to many other methods.

Well..."almost" anything! We can engrave photos on wood, stainless steel, aluminum, dark marbles and granites and many other fine grained materials. While we have the ability to engrave photos on glass and other clear items, we don't recommend this for very many photos. Glass only shows one shade...it's either cut, or not cut...similar to line art that is either black...or white...no shades of gray. So most photos don't look very good etched into glass or clear objects.
