The degree of alkalinity of a solution is measured in terms of a value known as pH, which is tie negative logarithm of the concentration of hydrogen ions. On the Ph scale, which ranges from 0 (acid) to 14 (alkaline), a solution is neutral if its pH is 7. Our body pH should be slightly alkaline and should be approximately 7.5 measured via saliva or urine. Blood pH should be 7.365 ideally.

The acidity and alkalinity of a substance is referred to as its pH value. A neutral substance has a pH of 7, a substance with a pH above 7 is considered alkaline and a substance with a pH below 7 is considered acid. The term acidosis is used to describe a state of excess acidity in the body fluids whereby the term alkalosis describes a state of excess alkalinity.

pH indicates the acidity or alkalinity of a substance. The scale runs from 0 to 14. PH value 7 is neutral, lower than 7 is acidic, and higher than 7 is alkaline. Tab water is usually in the range of 7. With electrolysis, pH goes up as ORP goes down. You can regulate the pH directly with the level setting of the machine, or indirectly by changing the water flow.

All soaps are alkaline by their nature. The higher pH of soaps discourages microbes. That is why we only need to preserve with rosemary extract (for rancidity). Handmade soaps are 10.01. Castile Liquids 9.7-9.8 typically. Castile Gels 9.5-9.6

Ph is the relative acidity or alkalinity of the soil. It uses a logarithmic scale which goes from 1.0 to 14.0. 7.0 is neutral. The lower the number below 7.0, the more acidic the soil is. Most plants like soil in the range between 6.0 and 7.0, except for really acid loving plants such as blueberries, or rhododendrons. Roses usually like soil best between 6.5 and 6.8. Alkaline soil above 7.0 can be very difficult to correct.

Proper chemistry happens around our normal body's pH or "temperature." If you get too far off one direction or another, things start to act funny. Molecules change behavior and can even loose their activity altogether. A low pH (smaller number) means your skin is acidic and can more readily oxidize things.

The pH factor should be close to neutral (7). Any pH between 6.5 and 7.5 is good. Remember, 1 is very acidic and 14 is extremely alkaline. Only salt mills and grinders having metal grinding mechanisms will cause a reaction with the salt. Ceramic mills and grinders are recommended.

Beginning in 1979, Dr. Brewer began a series of experiments to prove his theory. He had already directly observed the effects on cells in vitro. The next stage was to demonstrate it worked in animals. The first animal experiments to establish the efficacy of Dr. Brewer's High pH Therapy were conducted at three universities using mice as test animals. As noted earlier, Dr. Brewer had considered both cesium and rubidium as candidates for this treatment. The initial experiment employed rubidium.
