There are 3 basic cruise itineraries in Alaska. It tends to look confusing because every cruise line names the same itinerary with their own label. There are slight modifications on some cruise itineraries. Niche cruise lines and Cruise Tours offer the most unique itineraries for a slightly higher price. See our map for details.

If a guide is included with the tour, the option remains open to cycle on your own, such as for the purpose of lengthening or shortening the day's distance. The guide will gladly help advise you in choosing an alternative route, although he/she may not have additional maps or route descriptions to hand out.

It is also occassionally possible to get an account on a departmental unix machine, though not all departments have unix machines, and not all departments that do have unix machines offer accounts to all of their students, staff, and faculty.

If we do not take any weather or rest days on the climb. It is possible to reach the summit on day 12 or 13. That having been said, most groups at a bare minimum opt for one rest day at 14,200 feet and another upon reaching High Camp. With a reasonable number of rest days and good weather, it is common for groups to summit in 17 to 18 days. Our trips are 21 days long, and these extra days are used at the discretion of the guides and the entire team for weather and/or rest along the way.

Since Scenic Land students have siblings at private, public and parochial school, as do children of the faculty and staff, we look at all school calendars before determining our calendar. We try to accomodate our families and faculty by alternating spring break days from year to year.

Life is often too busy for a full week-long vacation. As a POINTS member, you decide how long you want to vacation, be it a week or two, or a shorter stay of only a few days.

Dentures are no longer the only way to restore a mouth that has little or no non-restorable teeth. Strategically placed support, or implants, can now be used to support permanently cemented bridges, eliminating the need for a denture. The cost tends to be greater, but the implants and bridges more closely resemble the "feel" of real teeth. Dental implants are becoming the alternative of choice to dentures, but not everyone is a candidate for implants. Call your dentist for advice.
