To accept credit or debit card payments online your business will need an Internet Merchant Account. An Internet Merchant Account is provided specifically to authorise transaction requests made over the internet and is different to a normal business Current Account. The Internet Merchant Account will authorise credit/debit card transaction requests from your PSP and usually settle the funds to your business Current Account.
