It has been my experience that almost any diesel mechanic can work on these tractors. It is, of course, best to find someone who is familiar with tractors. Many small engine repair shops and local diesel mechanics will be happy to help you with any maintenance or repair work you might have need of. If you are in the Central Texas area, I know a few mechanics who will work on these tractors at a reasonable rate.

Yes, we have certain storage buildings that we try to reserve if a large tractor-trailer is expected to be arriving with your goods. Providing us with advanced notice will give us the opportunity to make this transition as easy as possible for the mover/trucker.

Tractors are depreciated over a 3 year period and trailers over a 5 year period. Both of these time periods are specifically addressed in the IRS code, and in the "Table of Class Lives" in Publication 946.. Tractor units are asset class 00.26, and trailers are asset class 00.27. The General Depreciation System (GDS) should be used unless your tractor is used primarily outside the United States.

So British consumers were asked what assurances they really wanted and they asked for a definitive, easy-to-spot symbol of assurance that food had been farmed and produced to independently inspected standards.

The Red Tractor scheme started by UK farmers, food producers and retailers working together to make sure the the food that you buy meets the standards that you expect for you and your family. The scheme was launched by the Prime Minister on 13 June 2000.

Assured Food Standards (AFS) is the independent not-for-profit organisation set up to manage the Red Tractor scheme. Owned by the food chain bodies, farmers unions, food processing trade bodies and retailer organisations, AFS represents these diverse interests and is not led by any one dominant interest.

The Red Tractor can only be used on food that has been produced, packed, stored and transported to Red Tractor standards. The standards in all farming sectors (such as chicken, dairy or vegetables) have been agreed by a panel of experts to ensure that the food is safe and that the animals are well treated.

The Red Tractor is protected by trademark and only approved packers can use the logo. Food businesses must be licensed by Assured Food Standards (AFS) before they can use the logo. And the licensing rules give us the right to check packers and their supply chain to make sure that the logo is only appearing on food that meets the high standards.

Red Tractor food is available from all the major supermarkets. You will find it on supermarket own brands and products like Countrylife butter, cheese and milk, Silver Spoon sugar and Allinsons flour.

We do not receive a list of the exact items repaired on each tractor. However, each tractor is restored to the 95% standard described in the Remanufacturing process.

Fairly easy in most cases. There are at least 10 different parts places that we buy from located in the US. We have found that the easiest brands to obtain parts for are Yanmar and Hinomoto (usually within 4 days or less). We have also found that some Ford/New Holland parts are interchangeable with Shibaura parts, as with Yanmar/John-Deere, Iseki/Bolens, and Kubota, of course. For example, the Yanmar YM-2500 has the exact same engine as the John-Deere 850.

All of our tractors are shipped in excellent cosmetic condition (minor scratched and paint scuffs excluded). If your tractor arrives with broken plastic, dented metal, etc., you must notate the damage on the Shipping Company's Bill of Lading before you sign it for the receipt of delivery. We cannot file a claim with the Shipping Company if you accept the tractor without this record of the damages. We will handle the filing of the claim to compensate you for or replace the damaged part.

If your tractor will not start and you do not see smoke (and sometimes even when you do) when you are cranking it, then you may have air in the fuel lines (see below question and answer on how to fix). If your tractor will not start, you do see smoke while cranking, and it is fairly cold outside (<50 degrees) then it might just be the temperature. Diesel engines are notably harder to start the colder it gets outside, but this is why most diesel engines come with "glow plugs".

Any medium Size Tractor or larger can be used, as long as it delivers the following minimum requirements: Series I Rancher: 25-35 Litres (6-8 US gallons) minimum per min., and a system pressure of at least 1800 psi Series II King Hitter Deluxe and Series III King Hitter Deluxe: 35 Litres (8 US gallons) minimum, per min., plus a system pressure of not less than 1800 psi. The addition of the King Hitter 'PTO' auxiliary oil pump and reservoir can be fitted to most tractors.

By law, most food must be labelled with its country of origin on the label although this is not always easy to find. To make things easier we have included a flag in the Red Tractor logo. If you see the Union flag on the Red Tractor logo, you will know that it is home-grown. That is, the food has been produced and packed in the United Kingdom.
