You can upload any .jpg image not larger than 1MB, however any image with a height or width greater than 1024 will be reduced such that its longest side is 1024. For this reason its very advisable for you to reduce your images to 1024 prior to uploading them as this will save you a LOT of time uploading.

The minimum size is 600x400 pixels with a color depth of at least 16 (65536 colors) We'd love to have images that are as detailed as possible, up to the 4MB per image upload limit. 1600 by 1200 can work. Then we reduce them for the web, but save the originals for the archives. So don't be afraid to upload high resolution pictures. The preferred format is JPG.

Most common formats are jpeg, gif, png, bmp. The larger the file is, the better are details viewed. Any photos are good as long as our artists can clearly see the details of your photo.You can send whatever photos you have on hand. We will review them and in case they are not good enough to be used for a portrait painting, we will contact you further to make sure you send us photos good enough to use in the process.

We recommend that you do not try to upload images larger than 1 MB. Although your images will be automatically resized (640 x 480), they may look clearer and/or upload faster if you resize them yourself.

Free accounts have a size limit of 2 MB or 2048 kb per image.. Premium accounts have a size limit of up to 7 MB or 7168 kb per image.

Generally you can configure Camera Resolution and Image format from the "Stream Format" menu item under the "Settings" menu. These options may vary depending on the Camera Device you are using.

Whenever you want to download an image in high-resolution format you have to register using your personal access details. Every image found by a search can be downloaded. You do not need your basket or light box. Click on the image so that it appears in the enlarged view. You will see a button called 'Download JPEG' underneath the image. Click on it. The rest of the process is dependent on the browser you are using. Click on the 'Download JPEG' button. Image opens in browser window.

All the images in the Photojournal are released with the maximum (or fullest) resolution available which is largely determined by the maximum resolution captured by the camera aboard any given spacecraft. The TIFF images are the highest resolution images made available to the Photojournal. All images are downloadable, with the TIFF file providing the fullest resolution. We cannot provide you with a higher resolution image than that which appears in the Photojournal.

Shutterfly currently accepts only .JPG images. Our service uses the industry standard sRGB color profile system. If your images are saved with a non-standard color profile, your images may not print exactly as you saw them on your monitor.

Banner images should not exceed 200px x 75px in width and height respectively. Images exceeding this size will be cropped or excluded. You can get your banners hosted on a multitude of sites, and we recommend Photobucket, Imageshack or Flickr. For some reason, Blogger Photos does not allow direct linking, so your photos will not show up on our site if you host it there.

kb is the maximum and .jpg or .png format only, any bigger and your auction will take for ever to load.. Top It is wise to only upload an image(s) just prior to your auction listing, and not the week before ;-).. Top

Images must be in gif or jpg format and under 4 MB in size. If you are having trouble uploading any image, please check the file type and size. Use Photoshop to convert image files to jpg or gif or to reduce the file size.

Your image must be between 600 and 750 pixels on the longest side and have a filesize of less than 400kb. We have put these parameters in place so that what you upload is what will be displayed. No resizing will be performed (except when thumbnails and preview images are created.) This ensures that your image appears exactly as you uploaded it and also guarantees that everyone's photos will fit within the size limits of the site.

Format: jpg, jpeg and gifs are accepted. Sometimes a file has a .jpg or other acceptable extention but is mislabeled and is not truely in an acceptable format. In such cases the image may not upload properly. Resolution: A resolution returned with a 50k file size is more than adequate. Files of more than 250k in file size do not upload automatically. These resoultions are significantly lower than a printed work, but look just as good as higher resolution images on a monitor and load faster.

High resolutions images are, on average, 8MB in size, medium resolution images are, on average, 4MB, and low-resolution images are, on average, 2 MB. The actual size of each image file will vary depending on the subject, shooting conditions and shooting mode due to the lossless, variable compression algorithm used on the images.

Resolution usually specifies how an image was generated; for example, if it was scanned in, the resolution tells how many dots (pixels) per inch (DPI) or dots per centimetre (DPC) were used in the scanning process. Resolution may also specify a recommended size for output; for example, an image that is 600 by 600 pixels may be specified at 300 DPI to print as 2 inches by 2 inches (600 dots / 300 dpi = 2 inches).

The most important thing is: KNOW THE SIZE OF FINAL PRINTED IMAGE. If the final image will be 3" x 3", make sure your image file is at least 3" x 3" and at least 300 dpi. If you are not exactly sure the final size, scan it larger with more resolution. You can always reduce the size and resolution of the file, but it is impossible to make it larger with sufficient resolution.

Your image was bought using old credits. All credits bought by designers before April 6 are used with the old prices, therefore the print and web size have the same price and the same earnings. When a designer uses credits he bought after April 6 the prices and earnings differ for web and print resolution. You can view a more detailed breakdown of an image's earnings by clicking its thumbnail on the Earnings page. A date at which the Multiple Uploads will be online has not yet been established.

Most imaging systems can support documents scanned at various resolutions, from 50 dpi to 600 dpi (or more) depending on your scanner. Depending on the purpose and the contents of the page, most documents are scanned in black and white at 300 dpi.
