Stainless Works Factory Fit exhaust systems are designed to be installed with a minimal amount of fitting on the car. You may have to trim the headpipes to length for a perfect fit-we do installs at our shop and have seen massive variations from one car to another; so in certain applications we leave a little length on the headpipes so that you can trim them for the desired fit on the car.

It helps to maintain low humidity levels, promoting good indoor air quality and reducing the chance for mold growth. A good quality Carbide Tipped Triple Chip saw blade is preferred when cutting Plexiglas. This reduces the amount of chipout on the opposite side of the material and produces a smooth edge. A Router can be used to cut Plexiglas as well. The Router should be at least 1.5 HP or better and with changeable collets for a 0.5" Shank quality 2 flute Carbide bit. This reduces the vibration and chattering when cutting and will produce a more smooth edge.

The slot should be cut 1 1/2" down from the center of the ridge on both sides. This is the same if you have trusses or a 2X ridge board. You definitely cannot solder or weld to neodymium magnets. The heat will demagnetize the magnet and could cause it to catch fire posing a safety risk. The NIB material is very brittle, so machining neodymium magnets is very difficult and should only be done by experienced machinists familiar with the risk and safety issues involved. The heat caused by machining the material can be great enough to demagnetize the magnet or cause a fire.

The hole that needs to be cut varies from size to size. The openings that need to be cut for each size are: Small 7-3/8" by 10" high, Medium 11-7/8" by 15-3/8" high, Large 14-5/8" by 20" high, and the X-Large 17-15/16" by 22-9/16"high.
