Contact lenses are exposed to a complex environment whilst on the eye. The tearfilm contains a number of different proteins which potentially adhere to the surface of the contact lens. The buildup of protein reduces the wettability of the surface of the contact lens which causes a "smeary" or "fogginess" to vision. A protein cleaner, often an enzymatic agent, will help in reducing the potential for protein to adhere to the contact lens surface.

For best results, we recommend that you use K&N air filter recharging oil and K&N air filter cleaner. K&N air filter oil is a special compound which forms a very efficient tacking agent that helps capture dust. Our cleaner is a non-detergent degreaser. Petroleum products such as transmission fluid and motor oil will soften and destroy the rubber sealing edges. Harsh solvents and gasoline will harden the rubber seals causing the filter to distort (shrink).

The AGRO-JET® unit includes a pair of 60cc syringes that draw medication in the conventional manner from standard containers. The syringe is then attached to a flexible, transparent tube that draws fluid to the jet orifice with the loaded syringe clipped onto a convenient cradle atop the injector. Bubbles are cleared by applying pressure to the syringe until a steady stream is achieved, just as one would with a conventional syringe.

Vapor steam cleaning does not clean everything and in fact there are some materials/surfaces to avoid. These are very heat sensitive materials such as some silks clothing and Persian rugs, velour and the exterior paint-work of your car.
