Can I cut pavers with my circular saw?

FAQ's
No. It is not recommended to use a circular saw to cut pavers. A brick splitter or a high-powered saw with a diamond blade is recommended. These are readily available to rent at Michigan Skid Loader (www.mslinc.com) or other equipment rental stores. For a few cuts, we can cut them for you for a small charge.

WHY DIDN'T WE DESIGN THIS CIRCULAR SAW AROUND A 7-1/4" BLADE VS. 6-1/2"?

The Milwaukee V28 Lithium-Ion Power Tool Line Question and A...
With the entire V28 program, we wanted all the tools to have corded tool performance. A V28 powered 7-1/4" Circular Saw would have had similar performance to an 18V 6-1/2" Saw which many end-users believe isn't powerful enough for continuous cutting. Keeping the blade size at 6-1/2" allowed us to take the V28 Circular Saw to a new cordless performance level. See similar questions...

Why is no saw cut needed on a lane poured previously with a cold joint along its longitudinal edge?

Division of Design - Pavement - Frequently Asked Questions
Answer: When a lane is slip formed, and allowed to cure for a day, a cold joint is formed. This cold construction joint would have tie bars placed into it. Then an adjacent lane is poured up against this new lane. The longitudinal joint will remain tight due to the tie bars. It is anticipated that very little water will penetrate this joint. Therefore, to saw cut the longitudinal joint would be difficult at best and not very beneficial. With a tight cold joint, a sealant would not be needed. See similar questions...

Why is there a saw cut near the muzzle end of your rifle barrels?

Lilja Precision Rifle Barrels - FAQ
Almost all of our barrels have a bandsaw cut one inch from the muzzle end of the barrel. This indicates that the barrel is not useable beyond that point. When we hand lap our barrels, we do so from each end of the barrel. Because the lapping compound is applied to the lap directly next to the ends, the bore becomes worn slightly oversize. This oversize condition does not extend more than .50"-. See similar questions...

Environment settings set by a batch file are not working.
Active Directory can record either sequential or circular logs, although sequential is the default and is preferred. Circular logs overwrite transactions at specific intervals, whereas sequential logs are never overwritten (but data in sequential log files whose transactions have been committed to the database are deleted during garbage collection intervals.) Sequential log files are not overwritten with new data. They grow until they reach a specified size. See similar questions...

How do you do circular interpolation?

DAK Engineering
Of all the cans of worms in motion control, this is one of the wormiest!!! Instead of taking the multiple straight line "almost looks like a circle, but isn't" approach, I wrote the following, which works to the resolution of whatever machine it's on. It functions in much the same manner as the linear interpolation algorithm above in that it involves sequencing an "imaginary" point through space along an arc, and "blips" the axes forward when they need to be to keep up with this point.
