If your RV or boat trailer is equipped with an existing jockey wheel compression type clamp that is 48mm in diameter (approximately 1 7/8th inches) the Powrwheel can be mounted using this bracket. Many pop-up or tent RV trailers come with a jockey wheel held on with a compression clamp. However, you must provide some means of removing your Powrwheel when you park it; either in your storage area or when you are underway.

We do allow back-in type RVs (eg, 5th wheels and travel trailers) to reserve certain pull-in type sites, but you must have long enough sewer & water hoses & electrical cords and coax cables to connect to the water, sewer, electric, and cable connections. Due to site configuration and/or tree placement, certain pull-in type sites however are restricted from placing a back-in type RV into it.

Not always, but it helps immensely if you are “fulltime.” Some missionaries depend on profhet chambers or a fellow Christian’s home in the fair city for living quarters. These are not always available and obviously can restrict where, or how many fairs you may be able to work. You may elect to stay with friends, relatives or motels. However, motels can be costly. If you are considering part-time service, these options may be viable.

The class "C" motorhome is the workhorse of the RV rental business, comprising a vast majority of motorhome rentals. Class "A" motorhomes are very much in demand, and generally rent for more than class "C's". The challenge with class "A" rentals is the size and complexity. Good screening and training practices are particularly important. Many larger class "A" motorhomes are "diesel pushers". This means that the engine is diesel, and in the rear of the vehicle.

Never try to mount your own tires. Tire mounting is a job for the people who have the proper equipment and experience. If you try to do it yourself, you run the risk of serious injury to yourself as well as possible damage to the tire and rim. Never choose a smaller size than those that came with the car. Tires should always be replaced with the same size designation -- or approved options -- as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.

Your auto policy will provide liability coverage while the travel trailer is attached or being towed. Only Other Than Collision coverage is provided for accidents that occur in Mexico less than 25 miles from the border on trips that are less than 10 day in length. You should purchase Mexican auto insurance to cover the days of travel in Mexico before traveling there.

You cannot register for Mobile Homes and/or Travel Trailers directly; you may later be referred and possibly determined eligible as a part of the registration process. You may be referred based on a combination of information about available rental resources in a geographic area and information about your specific needs. Not all requested sites may be appropriate for Mobile Home/Travel Trailer placement (lack of utilities, flood zone, etc.

To express interest in a FEMA travel trailer, call FEMA Helpline and ask the agent to check rental resources in your desired location. If there are no rental resources in your desired location, your agent will forward your request to the appropriate team and you will be contacted. Please be sure to keep your contact information (address AND phone numbers) current.

When FEMA makes our initial assessment of your site to decide if it is possible to place a travel trailer/mobile home at your home, we include any requirements for ramps. We would encourage all displaced evacuees residing in your home to register for disaster assistance.

To properly weigh a travel trailer, it should first be weighed, including the tongue weight, while detached from the pulling vehicle. The actual overall weight must be less than or equal to the GVWR for safe operation. There are other weight considerations and guidelines that are important to consider for travel trailers. Sonoma County ordinances generally do not allow occupancy of a travel trailer on private property unless it is located in a mobile home park or, for limited time periods, in a recreational vehicle park. However, a travel trailer can be used while a home is under construction on the property, provided that a permit is obtained (see next question).
