With regular care, your nasal pillows should last several months but will vary by patient. Worn nasal pillows should be replaced to eliminate leaks. Tubing replacement also varies by patient but should be replaced a few times per year.

A nasal masks seals around the entire nose and is held in place with straps, or headgear. This is a good device for first-time CPAP users.

Nasal pillows sit right at the entrance to your nose-or, your nostrils. They don't go in far, they form a gentle cushiony seal and are held in by a formed headgear. The cushion does not fit over the tip of the nose or rest on the bridge. A nasal cushion normally seals over both nostrils and is similar to the nasal pillows. Full face masks are good alternative for 'mouth breathers'. For some people the mouth tends to drop open unknowingly during sleep. This allows the treatment pressure blowing through the nose via a traditional nasal mask to escape. If this happens, it renders CPAP therapy ineffective as the pressure intended to hold a patient's airway open instead flows out of the patient's mouth.

Students are required to wear facemasks during all classes (lectures, tutorials, laboratories etc). A total face mask seals over the entire face, at the forehead, down the sides and under the chin. It can only be used when sleeping on the back and is somewhat of a last resort. There are special circumstances or needs for this mask, like patients who leak air out of the corner of their eyes. This mask is like a Full Face mask in that it equalizes pressures for an even treatment, but this mask encompasses every opening on the face where air might escape like the eyes.

Yes. Tests on treated fabric washed 20 times in a top-loading washing machine using detergent to Australian Standard AS2001.5.4 showed a very slight diminution in antimicrobial effectiveness (<1.5%) and no diminution from ironing nor rinsing water. There are two layers of fabric to enhance mask effectiveness, but we recommend hand washing in only warm soapy water after each occasion of use.

To create a mask to use for compositing, you need to render the picture or movie twice. First do the normal render. Then you can create a 'mask' where sky is white and terrain is black by doing the following: The terrain will now appear black and the sky white.
