However, the journal is only interested in papers that focus on topics related to psychology. By definition, psychology touches upon a wide variety of topics that often relate to other disciplines. The common historical roots of the disciplines can be traced back to the early 1900's work of Frederick Winslow Taylor (1856-1915). He was known for Time and Motion studies as a way to increase productivity. He argued that he was applying "scientific" method to practical management problems.
