Your physician can log on to www.myfirsthealth.com, click the link to Doctors and Hospitals where they can then find a link to join the network. An online application is available. If there is a need (geographic coverage or physician specialty), First Health Network will send your doctor additional information. Provided they are needed and qualify, First Health Network will add them to the network. This process can take anywhere from a few weeks to a number of months.

Call Group Health Customer Service at 1-888-901-4636, or use our online Provider Directory to find available physicians in your area or to see if your current personal doctor is available through Group Health. Remember, you can choose from a broad network of Group Health physicians, and each member of your family can have a different doctor if you wish.

When you join Alliance and select your PCP, you become part of that PCP's medical center or physician network. A medical center is made up of many physicians (PCPs and specialists) who are under one roof, a one-stop shop for services. A physician network describes providers grouped together to serve you. These providers work in private offices and may also include a hospital that is linked to the network.

Yes, you can continue to see out-of-network providers. Be aware, however, it is likely to cost you more. Benefit levels for out-of-network providers are included in the benefit summaries that were part of the March Healthy Directions home mailing. You can also view your benefit summaries through the Healthy Directions Web site.

the time you received your policy, you may have received a directory of physicians and hospitals in your network. If you would like an updated list, please contact your PPO vendor using the telephone number on your ID Card. You may also contact your provider's office and ask if the physician is a member of the PPO network (listed on your ID card). Always verify whether your provider is a member of the PPO network in order to maximize your benefits.

Yes. First stop the MultiNet Service by using "net stop MultiNetService. Then connect your wireless card to the network you want to add, and do the following: Go to Start->Control Pabel->Network Connections->Wireless Adapter, right click to go to Properties. Then high "MultiNet Miniport Driver", and go to its properties. Click on "Add a Miniport", and press Continue if prompted for Driver Signing.

Yes. Stop the MultiNet Service. Go to Start->Control Panel->Network Connections->MultiNet adapter you want to remove. Right click, and press Disable. Then, start the MultiNet Service. This will remove the miniport.

State dependant - depends on if that particular state requires that person to have additional licenses (i.e. - dispensing license, controlled substance license, etc). If they are appropriately licensed, they too, fall under our pharmacy partners' liability coverage. If they are in a state where there are no special licenses needed, and the law states that they are able to dispense to the patient, they too are covered.

SJHC releases certain information, for example, inpatient discharge summaries, Emergency Department records, to family physicians to facilitate your continuing care. Other information can be released to your family physician at your request and with your consent. If you do not want your family doctor to receive information, let Patient Registration or your health care provider know.
