A judgment levy is NOT a judgment against you or your property. A judgment levy is the method available to taxing entities to pay for extraordinary adjustments to previously taxed property values. These adjustments are generally from centrally assessed taxpayers (utilities, transportation, mining and other tax paying companies) assessed by the Utah State Tax Commission, not the county assessor. Often, these are adjustments to several previous years' values.
