Dr. Paley had performed over 2,000 Sinu-Clear (tm) procedures in the past 10 years without any major complications. The only complications experienced by less than 1 percent of our patients have been significant bleeding (usually as a result of high blood pressure) or infection which required antibiotics. It is important to continue taking blood pressure medications even on the day of surgery to keep blood pressure and bleeding under control.

A-Botox has very few complications, though some patients may experience some localized numbness, a burning sensation, swelling or bruising at the injection site. A very small percentage of patients may experience no improvement.

The risk of bad results in this surgery is quite rare, but can include creases that do not form where they are planned, and can be too low or high, or not deep enough, or not exactly the same in both eyes. If your Botox injections are performed solely for to achieve cosmetic benefit, insurance will not provide coverage.

A - There is a small risk of infection and brain hemorrhage or swelling that may result in weakness. As with any surgery, there is a very small risk of complications from the anesthesia. You may also have difficulty opening your mouth wide for two to three days after surgery.

The PVP procedure is generally considered to be very safe. Most patients report a very high level of satisfaction. Patients may experience slight burning during urination and/or a little bit of blood in the urine for a couple of weeks. Some men may experience more severe symptoms, which can be easily treated by Dr. Shaw. Retrograde ejaculation, or "dry climax" following treatment may occur.

Nothing in life comes free, and liposuction is no exception. Some bruising and discomfort can be expected after the operation, although it's usually not too bad and resolves within a few weeks. There are the standard risks associated with anesthesia (allergy to the medicine, increased risk if you are not healthy, etc.), which you will need to discuss with your doctor and/or anesthesiologist.

A-The potential complications associated with a TCA peel include cold sores, fever blisters, infection, scarring, skin allergies, and whiteheads.

A-Blepharoplasty procedure performed solely for cosmetic purposes are typically not covered by insurance.

The potential risks associated with filler injections will vary according to the particular filler, though the risks tend to be minimal. Lip advancement and lip lifts carry a small risk of minor visible scar (1-3%), and lip implants carry the risk of infection and the need for removal (1%).

Endoscopic spine surgery is very safe and complications are low. The most common complication is infection and this is usually discitis and related to disc surgeries. The incidence of discitis is similar to conventional surgery and is around 2%. Other risks include nerve damage, bleeding, etc. but these are very rare. Bleeding is usually only around 100 cc's and thus is minimal. We never utilize transfusion systems.
