No. All Closet.Tec systems are free-standing floor unit for stability and durability. We do attach the free-standing unit to the wall to prevent any tipping over or danger of the unit falling. This allows us to use the wall, instead of backing to provide the required structural rigidity.

The cabinet is designed to recess into the wall and is held in place using a high performance construction adhesive that has 9 times the initial holding power than any other construction adhesive on the market. First, applying the adhesive to the back of the cabinet frame and then apply firm and even pressure as you insert the cabinet in the cut out. Allow 24 hrs. for proper curing and your ready to enjoy your new built-in cabinet.

The shelf is easily mounted to the wall with hanging hardware that is included. Ideally you want to put screws into a stud for more support. However, if you do not have that option, use the anchor that is provided. Drill a small hole in the wall and lightly tap in the anchor and then the screws. Leave the 1/8 of the screw tip out so you can hang the shelf easily. It’s designed by a mom so it’s very easy… even your husband can do it!
