NO! Heat has nothing to do with the way a bed tans. All of our tanning units are equipped with built in cooling fans along with additional floor plans that we have placed in the rooms. We are trying to keep the customers as cool as possible, unfortunately, after several uses throughout the day, the beds do become hot. However, never confuse heat with tanning power, heat just makes you temporarily red similar to that of a hot shower. It is not any part of the tanning process.

There are always risks to going into the sun...but it is not going to clear up your acne if that is what you are thinking! A sunburn can actually increase the skin's oil production. Make sure you wear a SPF 15 or higher when basking in the rays!

High pressure beds allow for a deeper, darker tan. Thereby, increasing the longevity of your tan. The high pressure bed will also build up your base tan faster. Once your base tan is developed, continual tanning in a high pressure bed would require less frequent trips to the salon. Which is a great time saver for that busy on-the-go tanner.

Yes, you will get a tan. It will just take longer. However the SPF is a shield to prevent you from sunburn. A SPF 20 for instance allows you to stay in the sun 20 times longer without getting sunburnt than with no sun screen at all. Therefore you will tan as much as with a SPF 8 if you stay proportionately longer in the sun. But anyhow always be aware that a high SPF is not your license to stay in the sun and fry.

NO. Most screenings and stone dust have too many fine particles that slow drainage and rut under repeated loads from tires. Sand made with crushed shells (common in Florida) shouldn’t be used either. Moisturize! Moisturize! Healthy skin tans faster, darker, and retains a tan longer. Drink plenty of water and make sure to keep your skin moisturized with a high quality lotion especially formulated-for-tanning. Your skin is constantly renewing itself. The dryer your skin is, the faster it wants to shed its top layers and bring new skin to the surface. You loose the top layers, you loose your tan.

Heck no. Paula Begoun, whose books on cosmetics are the best I've ever seen, believes that all-in-one products such as sunless tanners with sun screen are never your best bet. As she points out, for a sun screen to be effective, you will need to reapply it frequently. This obviously won't work with sunless tanners. Accutane is used to treat the most severe form of acne (nodular acne) that cannot be cleared up by any other acne treatments, including antibiotics. In severe nodular acne, many red, swollen, tender lumps form in the skin. These can be the size of pencil erasers or larger.

The FDA ordered changes to be made in the Accutane label. These changes include stronger language about the risks associated with Accutane. Accutane is also being investigated by Congress. Lawsuits have been filed by some of the families of children who committed suicide while taking Accutane.
