The rendering of the spaces is caused by the "table-data-cell-space-bug." SimpleViewer will automatically adjust it's layout to try to best fit the available space. If you have a fixed sized SWF and you want the large image to be flush to the edge of the SWF, there are a couple of things to try. First, set the stagePadding to 0 in the gallery options. Check the maxImageWidth and maxImageHeight values match the width and height of your images. Next, set the height and width of the simpleViewer SWF in the HTML doc so that the image is flush with the edge.

Removing the border around frames involves both not drawing the frame borders and eliminating the space between the frames. The most widely supported way to display borderless frames is <FRAMESET ... BORDER=0 FRAMEBORDER=0 FRAMESPACING=0>. Note that these attributes are proprietary and not part of the HTML 4.01 specifications. When you move the "Area Size" slider, the program increases/decreases the correction area also; but in so doing surrounding pixels may or may not be included into the correction area depending on their color: Is there any way to manually adjust the selected region without using the slider, such as dragging the outlines with the cursor to either increase or decrease the size/shape of the outline?
