Answer: Tryouts, roster additions or subtractions, or other related issues are considered team issues and coaching decisions. Only in the case of gross misconduct (coach, player or parent) would the club interfere in such decisions. If a coach does not wish to have any roster additions or subtractions, they are not required to go to tryouts.

The championship is primarily for teams made up of drivers from the company they work for. Over the years this has been extended to teams that have sponsorship or backing from a recognised group or companies paying for their customers to race as part of an incentive or reward scheme. We are happy to welcome privateer entries to the competition as long at the team name reflects the members of the team.

Although we allow teams of three to five members, we recommend forming teams of four. Studies have shown that teams of four are most conducive to creativity and collaboration. Our program constantly recruits all year long and there are two ways in which to receive an invitation to attend an Orange Squad tryout session. One, veteran members of the Orange Squad are allowed to invite potential candidates should they meet them or observe them in person. If more than one squad interests you, you are welcome to audition for multiple teams. You will be encouraged to attend all of the clinics leading up to auditions. Following your final audition, you will be asked to list your squad preference - should you make more than one team. No. You do not have to tryout if you are returning to your prior season team in the same division. You must complete the section on the registration form regarding returning to the same team.
