You can get rid of spam in your inbox by (1) blacklisting or (2) filtering. A blacklisted mail will be deleted and never enter your inbox whereas a filtered mail can be put into another folder which you named (e.g. you may put all mail from HKU colleagues into a folder called HKU-mail).
