None. Paid sick leave and STD are two different things. STD has a 14-day waiting period, after the disability occurs, and then pays 60% of your annual salary, on a weekly basis, for up to 26 weeks. The checks come to your home by mail. STD is not automatic, your doctor must supply the information requested, not just the dates that you will be out. Accumulated paid sick leave is used to cover time that you are unable to work due to sickness.
Employees may accumulate vacation at twice their annual accrual. Maximum accruals are identified in HR Policy 402 Vacations. Vacation and sick leave are accrued every Monday for non-exempt employees based on years of service. Exempt employees accrue on the 15th of each month. Vacation time is accrued during the probationary period but it cannot be used until the probationary period has been completed. You receive four (4) personal days every year on your anniversary date.
