ASL is a non-profit school and receives no financial support from governments or religious institutions. Tuition income, charitable gifts and other fundraising make up the yearly operating budget. Donations provide the excellence in programming that is the hallmark of an ASL education. In the past, corporations often paid their employees' school fees, as well as helped the School with, for example, building projects, and ASL is extremely grateful to have had this support.

All of the residents of Forest Hill are linked by the covenants that govern the use of this land. CASE stands for Conceptually Accurate Signed English. As stated above, with Signed English ASL signs are used in English word order. The "Conceptually Accurate" phrase refers to the use of signs that are conceptually in line with the meaning of the word. For example in the sentence "I can't afford to go to the movie because I don't have any bread." The ASL sign for BREAD is not used, instead the ASL sign MONEY will be used since it reflects the meaning of the English word.
